FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Here are some answers to frequently asked questions regarding Good Smoke hemp prerolls and our company.  If you don't find an answer you're looking for please contact us

What is CBD?

CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a chemical compound from the sativa plant, which is also known as hemp.  Scientists have isolated 108 different types of cannabinoids in the hemp plant.

It's a naturally occurring substance used in products like oils and edibles to impart a feeling of relaxation and calm. Unlike its cousin, (THC) CBD is not psychoactive.

Is CBD legal?

Yes but the answer isn't quite so cut and dried.  It is 100% to consume and sell it federally, however some states have different restrictions.

Gotta explain:  The cannabis plant has different varieties, & for decades, the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) treated them all the same, classifying all cannabis as a Schedule I substance. Schedule I drugs are considered to have "no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse" and are thus illegal to produce or possess.

That was then, but this is now:  The Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 (aka the 2018 Farm Bill) changed all that by creating two different categories for cannabis.

The Farm Bill legalized "hemp," which the legislation defined as cannabis that contains no more than 0.3% THC, nationwide. Conversely cannabis that contains higher levels of THC is now listed as "marijuana" and is still a Schedule I drug.

So, if a CBD product comes from a hemp plant (less than 0.3% THC), it's legal; if it comes from a marijuana plant (more than 0.3% THC), it's federally illegal, despite local laws. The Food and Drug Administration is currently trying to figure out how to regulate CBD, which now falls under its management.

Does CBD get me high?

No. Cannabis’s chemistry consists of two main players: CBD and THC.

CBD is the non-psychoactive element of the plant, which means you won't have effects like euphoria, ie; you won’t feel “high”.

What are the benefits of CBD?

There are many health claims, but the only CBD medication that is currently FDA-approved is Epidiolex, which the agency approved last year for the treatment of certain types of epilepsy. But many people claim CBD helps with a range health conditions, including back pain, osteoarthritis, or cancer.

While there's a body of anecdotal evidence it's still very difficult to say what the real benefits are because of a shortage of valid research.  Many people take it however because of the claimed benefits, and they trust it and return to it regularly.

Your best option is to search the web for the benefits of CBD and decide if it is right for you.

Does CBD help me sleep better?

US Sleep Association says: ?Overall, there is scientific research that supports the theory that there are CBD health benefits. While more research needs to be done, the use of CBD can potentially decrease your symptoms of insomnia and help you get more quality sleep.  If you struggle with sleep issues, the best first step is to consult your doctor and learn more about causes and treatments.”

Is your hemp all natural?

All our hemp is 100% all-natural.

What is full-spectrum CBD flower?

Not all hemp is the same. The flower’s quality, its content level of CBD and how aesthetically pleasing its appearance is, all depend on how the hemp plant is cultivated & managed from seed to table. The best buds are hand-trimmed and meticulously formed by professional trimmers, to maximize their beauty and chemical potency. Curing is another essential part of cultivating a high-quality hemp flower. This time-intensive process involves drying a fresh-cut cannabis plant while preserving its flavor and cannabinoids, with long-term storage in mind. “Full spectrum” means that the flower was carefully developed to feature all of its natural compounds, including terpenes, fatty acids, flavonoids, and other cannabinoids. Each of these compounds has effects and benefits of its own. So a quality full-spectrum hemp flower will be high in CBD, contain a very low amount of THC (0.3 percent or less), and have only trace amounts of other cannabinoids, such as CBG, CBN, CBC, and more.
